"A supportive crowd wills on six brave performers who arrive with no script and have not the faintest idea of what will happen. Through improvisation they create whole sketches and comic dramas that are amazingly inventive and funny and often take off into flights of surreal brilliance." (The Daily Telegraph)
The Comedy Store Players are Neil Mullarkey, Paul Merton, Richard Vranch, Josie Lawrence, Lee Simpson, Jim Sweeney and Andy Smart. They are supplemented by a spectacular line up of guests including Stephen Frost, Steve Steen, Niall Ashdown, Suki Webster, Steve Edis and Phill Jupitus.

Last Monday of the month*.
Think you're funny?
The Comedy Store is interested in Stand Up/Quirky acts for the infamous 'king Gong Monthly* Comedy Showcase for New Acts.
Bored with your job? Do your friends tell you you're funny? Come and try being a Stand Up, Alexi Sayle answered our ad in 1979! Look at him now.
Sometimes humiliating, sometimes cringeworthy, but often hilarious. You can book yourself in for the next available show - and get full details emailed to you - by calling 020 7930 2949 or even better, by emailing london@thecomedystore.co.uk (*there are no Gong shows at the end of May & August and usually not December)
Please note, shows are booked on a month by month basis. You can also try your luck - if you think you're funny enough!- by volunteering from the audience, when (and if!) the Gongmeister throws it open to the audience. The number of these 'opportunities' depends how long the official contestants are lasting!
