Yes. You can buy tickets for future shows from the Box Office from 6.30pm to 9.30pm Sunday to Thursday, or 6.30pm to 1.15am on Friday and Saturday.
Yes. Clicking on the Book Now will take you to our online bookings.
We sell 330-350 advance tickets for each show and USUALLY keep 50-70 tickets for sale on the door. If all the advance tickets are sold, the only way to get tickets is to queue at The Comedy Store and buy them when the doors open at 6.30pm (11pm for Midnight shows) on the night of the performance. Tickets can sell out up to 3 weeks in advance for some shows, particularly Saturday & Friday 8pm shows, so it is always best to book early. PLEASE NOTE THAT CHARITY OR SPECIAL SHOWS ON A MONDAY NIGHT may not have ANY tickets for sale on the door, OR A REDUCED NUMBER, SO PLEASE RING 020 7930 2949, daytime Monday to Friday only, or 020 7839 6642, evenings only, to check the situation for these shows.
You can buy as many as you like. We do not insist that every member of a party be present in the queue when the tickets are bought, you can send down one person to buy tickets for your whole group.
This does not apply for Concession tickets, which can only be purchased if the eligible person is at the box office in person, and only one per person.
Yes. The Comedy Store offers concessions for NUS and Nurses. The tickets are available, subject to availability, for performances on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Friday and Saturday midnights and Sundays.
A booking fee is charged for buying tickets online or by phone. However, tickets purchased from the box office at The Comedy Store do not incur a booking fee.
Unless a performance is cancelled, all tickets for The Comedy Store are non refundable.
Yes, but only from the Box Office in multiples of £40 (each voucher is for two tickets). At the moment we can only accept cash for these, they cannot be paid for by credit/debit card.
Is there a discount for large group bookings? No. No matter how large the group we do not do discounts. On Wednesdays and Sundays there is a limit of 20 on group size.
No. We work on a strictly first come first served basis. On rare occasions seats may be saved for guests of the management, but we recommend customers arrive as early as possible to get the best seats.
By arriving as early as possible! We have 400 seats, but because it is not assigned seating large groups that arrive late may not be able to sit together. We insist on all customers being seated in the auditorium during the show (not that you can't get up to go to the bar or to the toilet – just that you cannot stand in the bar area throughout the show!), so sometimes groups must be split up to take seats while the show is in progress.
Yes. Unlike many theatres we will admit customers after the show has started.
No. Although if your attire stops other people enjoying the show (i.e. flashing lights, bit hat etc) we will ask you to remove the items.
Yes we do. We insist upon searching bags when customers come into The Comedy Store for security reasons, and then recommend that all bags larger than handbags are left in the cloakroom.
We can not admit anybody under 18 years of age due to our license conditions, and we reserve the right to refuse admission if we believe a person is under the influence of alcohol or drugs. In these circumstances we will not refund tickets.
We have a chair-lift to allow access to the auditorium. It unfortunately cannot bear the weight of a person in a wheelchair, so the person must be able to leave their wheelchair, descend via the chairlift, then retake their wheelchair once at the bottom of the stairs. This means that large electric wheelchairs are unable to gain access, but most other types can.
We have disabled toilet facilities, and we can arrange seating to suit most people. We also have a hearing loop installed in the raised section of the auditorium and bar.
From 1st July 2007 the venue is totally non-smoking at all times. Pass outs are available for guests to go outside and smoke (or for any other reason).
Heckling is a part of live comedy, but it can quickly become tiresome for other members of the audience if it is overdone. If an audience member persistently interrupts a performer or if the heckling is vicious, racist, or in any other way offensive in our opinion we will take action to put a stop to it. In most cases this will firstly be a polite request for the offender to stop their heckling.
We expect members of the audience to respect the performers, other paying members of the audience, the staff and the venue. This means that we will do our utmost to ensure our customers can enjoy the show without having to put up with constant interruptions to the show or people talking while the performers are on stage. Our philosophy is that the stage is the most important part of The Comedy Store, and that the bar is an added bonus. In other words we are a show with a bar, not a pub with comedy. If you are not interested in watching the show please do not spoil it for the other people who are.
Certainly. All we ask is that you enjoy the show, and respect the other members of the audience. We have stag or hen parties all the time and live comedy is an excellent night out for a group.
On the contrary! After every show (except the 8pm shows on Friday and Saturday) the bar remains open at Happy Hour prices to allow you to relax, chat and listen to some laid back music to round off your evening.
The Comedy Store are committed to developing new talent and as part of this remit we take bookings for open mic spots for both the London and Manchester venues. The first step towards getting an open spot is to take part in the 'King Gong show. These shows take place on the last Monday of each month in London, and the first Sunday of each month in Manchester. Anybody can enter the competition, and the idea is to last for 5 minutes on stage. You don't have to win the 'King Gong to get an open spot, but by competing we get a chance to see you and get an idea of what you can do. To book a place at either venue, please call 0207 930 2949 or e-mail gong@thecomedystore.co.uk
