The Comedy Store Manchester is a unique venue, providing a variety of exciting conference and entertainment opportunities. The Comedy Store can host gala dinners, canapé receptions, private parties, product launches and promotions, broadcasts and recordings.
The venue houses four spaces, which are regularly used for corporate purposes. Our broad client base is both local and national, including Baker Tilly, Cobbetts Solicitors, Royal Bank of Scotland and Halliwell Landau. They, and many other companies, are attracted by the nature of our business, our no-fuss organisational skills and our comprehensive in-house skills base providing necessary technical support.
We can accommodate all of your conference needs, be it a small meeting room for five people, a silver service meal for 100 or a large-scale conference for 500 or more, The Comedy Store will work with you to create your perfect event.
This is the largest of our spaces and seats 500 people theatre style. It's ideal for the larger conferences and private shows, due to the capacity and layout. We have a fully programmable lighting rig, which can be co-ordinated for your event and state of the art sound system.
The main room is the theatre-style seated Auditorium which holds 380 people on the ground floor and two balconies hold 60 people each. The stage is 18 foot wide and 10 foot deep (5.48m x 3.05m). A side extension is possible which loses 13 seats on stage right. The back wall is black and has a pair of track mounted black wool curtains and a large Comedy Store Logo.
The main reception area is fully licensed and holds up to 400 people. This is the ideal setting for registration, welcome drinks or informal dining such as canapés and finger buffets.
This area holds up to 150 people standing, or 80 seated. From small business meetings to full silver service dining accompanied by live entertainment, the Helter Skelter Theatre bar offers a very versatile and intimate space.
It has a 12 foot wide and 10 foot deep (3.66m x 3.05m) stage and backed by black cotton curtains and is an intimate and versatile space.
The space has DJ inputs, and inputs to run a sound desk which has CD and MD facilities running through it as well as any mics or DIs which we provide for onstage. The stage is lit via twelve 300watt lamps with six scans and one 600watt profile. Three Matrix amps run two EV Sb121s and three EV Sx300s speakers which are placed on the back wall.
The Ward Room is a luxury private room, which can comfortably accommodate up to 60 people for a pre show party space. It can be hired for exclusive social use in the evening as part of a package that includes buffet and reserved seating or can be used for small presentations or meetings in the day for up to 25 people.
Our on-site catering team can prepare the ideal food and drink selection for any business meeting or gathering. We offer a range of options from canapés to light finger buffets to business breakfasts and lavish three course dinners. Prices and menus are available on request.
